Due to the fact that all of our vintage is rare and hard to find, we regret that we can not hold items (excluding layway) for any amount of time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Bustown Modern is happy to offer layaway on any purchase totaling $200 or more (prior to taxes/shipping). Here's the basic 30-day layaway plan:
• 30% non-refundable deposit due immediately
• Two additional payments:
• 30% of the remaining balance due 2 weeks from the date of initial deposit
• The remaining balance due 4 weeks from the date of initial deposit
Setting Up Your Layaway Plan
• Simply email us through the contact form + let us know which pieces you'd like + how you'd like to pay for them (Paypal or credit card).
Be sure to include:
• Your Name
• Your Phone Number
• Your Email Address
• We'll let you know the totals, the payment schedule + arrange the down payment to secure your items. That's it! Super easy, huh?
Important Layaway Information
• Items will not be marked as sold until the initial payment has been received.
• Items purchased through layaway are final sale.
• Please note that failure to pay any of the additional payments in the timeframe agreed upon will result in the item(s) being relisted for sale and your down payment forfeited.
• If you're spending over $1500, feel free to contact us for a more personalized plan.
• Please be sure to shop within your budget. If you're having a problem, let us know! Everyone is human and, after all, we can't help you if we don't know.
Purchasing on Approval
For very well established clients, we are happy to offer purchase on approval options. The guidelines are the same as returns:• Customer is to provide 2 credit cards on file - a main card and a back up. A 20% down payment will be charged on the card and removed once the items are returned or applied to the total purchase price.
• Please contact us within 24 hours of package receipt. Without prior approval, we do not allow extensions on this time period for ANY reason.
• Items must be unworn with all Bustown Modern and any original tags still remaining on the item. We reserve the right to refuse a return if any of the tags are replaced or missing or if the item has obviously been worn.
• Item must be shipped back with our confirmation code within 72 hours of contact. Items are to be packed carefully in the same way they are shipped so that they are not damaged. We reserve the right to refuse a return should the item be damaged due to haphazard packaging. All return items require signature confirmation and tracking.
• Should any items fail to be returned within the 72 hour return period an additional 20% restocking fee will be applied to the total price of the returned items. That is to say, a tardy $400 item would be charged an $80 restocking fee. Any items not returned within 5 business days will be charged the total amount for any/all items. No exceptions.
• If all items are returned the customer will be charged for the initial shipping cost. Otherwise, shipping is always free.
